Sanford's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Introducing foster #100 - Sandford!

Named after one of my favorite authors - this little boy is no literary genius. He is full of snuggles and vibes but maybe not high intelligence.

He’s a Anatolian Shepherd mix, 3 months old & 15 lbs. He’s sweet as pie and would like to be babied. He’s so fluffy, you won’t mind.

He’s working on crate and house training - he’s not there yet but! He just got here so he should fall in line quickly. He gets along well with other dogs.

If you want to add this tiny bear cub to your family - apply today!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
