Sandy Rose is a former puppy mill dog where she lived and had puppies for all of her 7 years. When she was no longer useful to the breeder, she was released to rescue. Sandy Rose has been living with a retired foster and her pups for about 6 weeks. She is now spayed and had a dental done at that time.
It has been determined that she has mild separation anxiety. Sandy Rose definitely needs at least 1 or 2 canine companions. She isn't potty or leash trained, would do best in a home without small children and someone home most of the time. A fenced in yard would be an added extra. Because she is still skiddish, it will take an adopter with lots of patience but we believe she is worth the effort. As she will bark when left alone she is not suitable for apartment living.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
