Meet Sandy
Meet Sandy! She is ~1yr old and 45lbs.
It might take a bit to earn this beautiful girls trust, but when you do she will melt your heart. Sandy was being picked on by other dogs in a southern shelter before catching her ride up North. You would never know it when you see her with other dogs, though. Sandy gets her confidence from other dogs so she needs a medium to high energy dog sibling to show her the way.
She LOVES to run in the yard, sniffing and chasing her four canine foster siblings. When first meeting Sandy she is very shy with new people, but after a few weeks she is just one of the family. Sandy likes to chew on toys/bones and is learning basic commands. She is currently in daycare since her foster parents have long work hours and she is doing great attending daycare!
When her foster family is busy or away, she is free-roaming in the house and does well/is trustworthy if there are plenty of chewy toys left out for her. She is still a puppy so she will need a family to help teach her to be a good doggie citizen. When she is excited and/or nervous she shows her super cute smile.
Sandy takes treats gentle but is ready to learn new things. After some play or a long day at daycare Sandy just wants to snuggle up on the couch for some love. At night she prefers the human bed and some more snuggles, maybe even a little belly rub.

Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella Vaccinations (as age appropriate-puppy adopters may need to cover some vaccine boosters)
Heartworm Test (for dogs over 9mo)
Microchip
Deworming
Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
Our adult dog adoption fee is $350. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $400. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $250.
*Please note that all breeds noted are estimates or best guesses. We very rarely have information on our animals' actual breeds since they often come to the shelters we work with as strays*
