Meet Sammy (needs an angel)
SAMMY is a 13 year old Lab mix who, along with his brother BUDDY an 11 year old Beagle are the last two dogs from a hoarding situation.
The two of them have been living alone in an empty, run down home for the past 2 years since their owner passed away. They were both in terrible condition when we first met them, but now, after extensive medical care they are ready to find their happily-ever-afters!
Both dogs needed extensive vet care, including bloodwork, vaccines, and surgeries, but now they are ready to find their happily-ever-afters! SAMMY had a large tumor on one of the toes on his read paw. The toe had to be amputated. Other than the tumor, SAMMY is in relatively good health for a 13 year old dog who hadn’t been to the vet since 2011! BUDDY needed a dental with lots of extractions, treatment for a massive ear infection, and a tumor on his ear removed.
BUDDY & SAMMY are both super sweet and have many good years left to live. They deserve a loving family to show them that there is a better life out there for them than living in a hoarding house or all alone with limited human contact. We are committed to finding it for them.
BUDDY & SAMMY are such nice dogs. BUDDY is very outgoing, SAMMY is a little bit shy at first, but since we've gotten to know him he has really started to come out of his shell and enjoy being petted and going for walks They walk well on a leash and would thrive in a patient, quiet home. A fenced yard is not mandatory, but they would love being able to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.
BUDDY & SAMMY don't have to stay together, but if there's anyone out there who would be willing to adopt them together that would be amazing since they are buddies.
