Sammy's Story

Meet Sammy, a handsome young Doberman with a playful spirit and a heart that is just waiting to fully bloom.

Sammy was found as a stray and eventually made his way to a shelter, where staff quickly realized what a special boy he is. While shelter life can be stressful and overwhelming, Sammy has remained sweet, gentle, and eager to enjoy life.

Estimated to be around 2 years old, Sammy is described as a very sweet and mellow dog who absolutely loves toys and running around the yard carrying them proudly. He has shown no aggression with food or toys and happily lets people take toys from him during play.

Sammy can be a little timid and unsure at first, especially around some men or in chaotic environments, but he has never shown aggression. He simply needs a little patience and reassurance while he learns that the world is a safe place. Once comfortable, he enjoys attention, playtime, and being near his people.

He appears to be dog friendly, has been indifferent around cats, and may do well in a variety of homes with proper introductions. Sammy is still very much a young Doberman with puppy energy and would benefit from continued training, structure, and consistency to help him become the best version of himself.

Sammy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and negative on his 4DX test. Most of all, he is looking for someone willing to give him the stability, guidance, and love he deserves.

If you think Sammy may be the right fit for your family, please apply today:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog

Doberman Pinscher Rescue of PA, Inc.
Kennel License #14649
