Meet Sammie
Meet Sammie! Sammie was found as a very, very pregnant stray and had 9 puppies soon after arriving at the shelter. They asked for a rescue to pull her and one of our fosters stepped up to care for them.
Sammie is estimated to be around 4 yrs old and we believe her to be a pointer mix of some sort. She is very sweet and likes to give you kisses. She also likes to affectionately nibble your face so at this time we do not recommend her to a home with small children.
Sammie has been a great momma but is ready for a family of her own. She likes to run the fence line at her foster home and check out the perimeter so we recommend her to a home with a fenced-in yard- or someone able to take her on daily long walks for her to check her surroundings and get her energy out. She has done well in a foster home with multiple dogs but has not been cat-tested yet.
Sammie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Let's give this momma a forever home.
Requirements for Adoption:

Must be over the age of 24 to adopt.
Your resident pets must be spayed/neutered.
Adoption Process:
We do not have an application. Adoptions are pet-adopter driven.
To meet our pets:
Call our office at 614-471-9000 or click on the pet that you are interested in and send an email. We will be happy to discuss the adoption process with you and set up a visit at the time of contact. The foster dogs are in foster homes and most of the cats reside at our office.
The adoption process includes a lease manager reference (if applicable), a veterinarian reference, and a home visit.
The pooches that visit your home will not be left there at the end of the visit. We take them back home with us so your family can discuss to ensure he/she is a good fit for your home.
There is an adoption agreement and adoption fees as follows:
$300 for Adult Dogs (6yrs & younger)
$200 for Senior Dogs (7 yrs and older)
$80 for Cats
All pets are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested (dogs), fiv/leukemia tested (cats), & micro-chipped.
Known medical conditions are discussed at the time of inquiry.
