Sam is your man!<br/><br/>Sam I am is a part of our Dr. Seuss litter and came to B&B from a local shelter. He is a male, black moth cur mix, loyal snuggler, and born December 2025! He is such a strong boy, ready to live life and about medium energy! He loves exploring the world with enthusiasm, making you laugh with his silly puppy moves, and then curling up close for snuggles. He loves following his people closely, playing with other dogs, kids, and bringing warmth and personality to every moment! <br/><br/>His favorite things to do are snuggle, play with other dogs and squeaky toys, get treats, walks, being outside, and being your little shadow! Sam I Am is like Olaf from frozen- lovable, curious, a little goofy in the best way, and absolutely devoted to his people. Those puppy eyes could melt even the iciest heart! He immediately knows the perfect way to snuggle and will happily nap for hours while you get work done!<br/><br/>This little guy is full of love and seeking his person! His sweet puppy eyes will melt your heart and his cute kangaroo hops will make you laugh. He is loyal, loving, learns quickly, and brings a bright, joyful energy to every day! He will bring a toy back to you for fetch but prefers tug of war instead of giving you the toy, of course! He’s always super excited to play with other dogs, especially when they are his size, he is a little cautious about bigger dogs! He’s very good at matching the energy of the dogs around him and knowing when its play time! Did we mention he’s super smart and a fast learner? He already has picked up on sit, shake, and lay down! He’s been doing so well with crate and potty training (only 1 accident in the last 10 days!!). On walks he likes to wait for his foster sister to lead the way and will even sit and wait for her- a true gentleman. Sam loves to go on adventures whether its a patio or a park and after the adventure will curl up in the seat as soon as he gets into the car.<br/><br/>His super power?<br/>Immediately finding the perfect cuddle place. He is an Olympic medalist in food puzzles and a professional toy squeaker.<br/><br/>This boy loves cuddles, toys, and treats, but loves his future humans the most!<br/><br/>He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. He will require an owner committed to continued training and socialization. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.<br/><br/>Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.<br/><br/>Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
