please take the time to read this description. We are brutally honest about Sammy.

Meet Sammy he is estimated to be a long hair chihuahua about 2 yrs. He is adorable that is for sure, but he his very very shy. He has had rough life and is going to take some time before he trust somebody, if you have the time to work with him he is going to blossom once he learns not everybody is going to hurt him. At this time it is not ideal for him to go home with toddlers or kids under 10 yrs old.

Sammy could be considered a feral dog, by his actions but we are hopeful he’s going to come out of his shell once he gets into a loving home.

Sammy is what we would consider a very hard to adopt dog because he’s not going to come running to you and give you kisses. In fact he’s going to run the other way and bark. We’re hoping that there is a family out there for Sammy who wants to give them that time and love to blossom and be OK if he does not blossom fully..

Sammy is recovering from a broken jaw. He is healed as much as he’s going to heal, his muzzle is a little crooked, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying the day soaking up sun and hanging out with other dogs. Sammy‘s ideal match would be also submissive dogs nothing who is an alpha, because Sammy is not comfortable standing up for himself.

Adoption fee for this dog will be $225.00, which helps with the expenses for spaying or neutering your pet, all vaccinations, including rabies up to date, microchip, and any other grooming or medical care that was needed when the dog was rescued by ARF.
