Sam's Story

Meet Sam Adventure Seeker Extraordinaire!

Sam is an energetic, fun-loving boy who is always ready for his next adventure. He loves people and enjoys being part of the action, whether that's heading out for a long walk, exploring new places, or simply spending time with his favorite humans.

This handsome guy has plenty of energy to burn and would thrive with an active family. Sam loves long walks and outdoor activities, although he can be a strong puller on leash. The good news? He's smart, eager to learn, and should do well with consistent training and guidance.

Sam has a confident, dog-dominant personality. He absolutely adores puppies, but his interactions with other adult dogs can be hit or miss, so any canine introductions should be handled carefully and thoughtfully.

Like many young, energetic dogs, Sam can be a little mouthy when he's excited. He doesn't mean any harmit's simply part of how he plays and interacts. He can also be a bit of a "bull in a china shop," often charging into life at full speed without realizing his own strength and enthusiasm.

One thing to know about Samhe's quite the athlete! He can easily clear a 5-foot fence and has a talent for finding opportunities to explore beyond the yard, so he will need a secure environment and close supervision when outside.

Because of his energy level, mouthy play style, and tendency to barrel through life with enthusiasm, Sam would likely do best in a home without small children or adults who may be unsteady on their feet.

After he's had a chance to burn off some energy, Sam's softer side shines through. He loves belly rubs, snuggles, and relaxing with his people once he's finally worn himself out.

If you're looking for an active, loyal companion with a big personality, a sense of adventure, and lots of love to give, Sam may be your perfect match!

Recycled Best Friends's Adoption Policy
Our standard adoption fees are $250.00, this could vary based on breed. We have a standard application process for both fostering and adoption to ensure the best match for our dogs and families. • All applicants must complete an application, which includes questions, a veterinary reference, and two personal references. • Once submitted, an application reviewer will carefully evaluate the information and contact both the veterinary and personal references. • After the review is complete, the Director will follow up with the applicant directly to discuss the application in more detail. • The Director will then determine approval status and help match the applicant with the dog that best fits their home and lifestyle. As part of the process, approved applicants are required to attend a meet-and-greet with all household members—including current dogs—to ensure a safe and successful match.
