Salt is an estimated-to-be 2-3 year old painfully adorable mixed breed dog who we are guessing to be a Maltese and Poodle mix, but this is just a guess. We do not know exactly what he is other than 12 pounds of 100% cute.

Salt is a sweet and quiet guy, who is comfortable and uncomplaining when in a different room than his foster mom - he is not clingy - but he also enjoys when she is nearby. He enjoys playing with stuffed toys - and it is a bonus if they have a squeaker in them. He also loves rubber balls that he can chew. He is housebroken to doing his business on 4 leashed walks a day. He eats really well and avidly.

Salt came from a challenging background, and sometimes (very rarely) has a grumpy attitude that has to be respected. The attitude is definitely not his norm, but it does surface, so he needs a home with people who understand this and can accept it.

The best home for Salt is one with an experienced dog owner who can let Salt be Salt while working on his attitude. He seems to like men and woman equally, in fact he loves EVERYONE, but he is not a good candidate for a home with kids. He wants to meet other dogs when out on walks, and he could be good in a household with another small dog who isn't demanding but does like to play.
