Sally Tosh *LOCAL*'s Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application
HERE
To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs,
please see
HERE

Age: 3 months (as of 10/7/25)
Weight: 8.2 lbs (as of 10/28/25)

Location: RI

This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Introducing the Tosh litter! Sweet and goofy pups that can’t wait to meet you! We are thinking these adorable little ones are a Corgi and Chihuahua mix. There are three beautiful girls – Sally, Belinda, and Queenie and five handsome boys – Ollie, Beethoven, Sweat Pea, Bandit, and Wiggles.

The pups may act a bit shy at first, but give them a little time and they'll be your new best friends, wagging their way into your heart. They get along good with other dogs, once they get to know them, and are interested in cats in a playful way making them a great addition to any family looking for a furry friend.

Being just puppies, they will have so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building, socialization with other dogs, and build that fur-ever bond with you!

Sally's joyful antics and loving nature make every day brighter. If you're looking for a loyal friend who can bring laughter and love into your home, Sally, or one of her littermates, is the perfect pup for you!

Medical Note: This dog is being treated/has been treated for demodectic mange, a non-contagious skin condition. The dog has responded well to this treatment and is ready for adoption, though may still have some bald patches and/or thin fur in places. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption for adults or until 18 months of age for puppies. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange, and talk with your Adoption Counselor about this condition. Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history

An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:

Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
