Born November 19, 2020, Salem is a female American Staffordshire Terrier/Mastiff mix seeking a forever home. She is good with other dogs and very well socialized with people. Salem's best fit home would be one with breed experience and committed to training her so that she receives a canine good citizen certification.<br/>A home with another canine companion (s) would be ideal as this breed requires continued socialization with other dogs.<br/>We do require a home with adult or adults and children over 5.<br/>Home ownership and fully fenced yard is required as well. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please visit Mikeyschance.com to find out about our adoption procedures. We do not have a central facility where you can meet our dogs, because they are in foster homes. Once you have been approved to adopt a dog we will gladly arrange for you to meet any dogs that are potentially a good fit for your home. We carefully review each application and place dogs based on a variety of criteria. Ultimately, we will always act in the best interest of the dog. We will conduct a background check on each adult living in the home. We will contact your vet. Mikey’s Chance also conducts home-checks to assure the best possible placement of all our rescue animals. PLEASE NOTE: It is our policy to only adopt to homes where the current pets: Are up to date on vaccinations; Have been either spayed or neutered; and Have received routine veterinary care. Applications that do not meet this policy shall be denied.
