This resilient girl was previously a cast member on The Real Strays of Puerto Rico and lived under an abandoned car after her mother was killed when she was a few weeks old. But despite her rough life, Sadie Lulu remains optimistic and knows there's somewhere out there better for her! This incredible girl is looking to level up in life and join her fellow adopted dogs in New England with you!

Sadie is a shy girl when she first meets you, but don't be fooled! Once she sees another dog around, her sweet personality shines through! Since Sadie previously lived with a foster who has a second dog (pictured), she'd thrive being in a multi-dog household. This girl's been on her own for so long that a little companionship makes all the difference. She also got along with the street cats, so we believe she'd do well if you had cats at home (though she's not a fan of the musical, Cats. Everyone's a critic!)

When she's not following you around to see what you're up to, Sadie loves cuddling by your side as you figure out what mind-numbing show to watch on TV. She LOVES raw hide-type bones so she'll protect it like a pirate and its treasure.Because of her humble beginnings, she'll be a bit shy around strangers and hide until she feels safe. Sadie also is great with kids.

Sadie also has experience on a leash and does good inside crates. Sadie's ideal home should provide mental stimulation and have a fenced yard as the stray life still calls to her once in awhile. She also has a lot of energy so it'd be great to help her burn it off! While she has a clean skin and coat, she does have some scabs and excoriation on her thorax and abdomen which is a result of all the fleas she had when she was rescued, but the vet says her skin is not infected and no antibiotic is necessary. This girl is truly a survivor!

Since Sadie is still a baby and still learning what her toys are versus household things, she'll need love patience as she adjusts to your home. Her previous owner doesn't recommend crates so she won't get anxious, but she's housebroken, walks well on a leash, rides in a car and knows commands like "sit, drop it and down." Give this fighter a chance. She'll be sure to win your heart!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Sadie Lulu, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $575] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
