Meet Ryder in VT - Makes Everyone His Friend!

Ryder - handsome and charming as a prince while managing to look like a big goofball with his friendly personality and charming freckles! This young Pyr and Anatolian Shepard mix boy has long, very soft fur, and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, wanting to be friends with everybody! He loves the resident kitty, and sweetly touches noses with her. As he is part Pyr, he is an occasional barker, chiming in when the other dogs have sounded the alert. Ryder is a very smart boy, and is quickly mastering the leash and enjoying walks with his person; he knows “sit,” catches on quickly, and aims to please! He is house-trained, crate trained, loves being brushed, and enjoys playing with crinkle toys. Ryder also loves riding in a vehicle, which he will jump right in for the next adventure. More of his favorites include rolling on his back in the snow or grass, Greek yogurt, belly rubs, and peanut butter! He is medium energy, loving the couch potato life with some outside exercise mixed in - he wants to be where his people are. Friendly is his middle name - whether he is meeting a new dog, a cat, or a human! Ryder likes to be right next to his person, giving the “Pyr lean” while waiting for his head to be pet or laying at their feet. He loves playing with his foster brother so another dog companion in his furever home would be just perfect, and maybe a cat or two! Ryder is a very happy, gentle, and friendly guy whose ideal home would be with a family who enjoys hanging out, playing in the backyard or taking him for adventures. This boy just wants a family to give him love and attention and he promises to return it ten-fold!

For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
