Meet Ryder! This handsome little guy is a 7-year-old Jack Russell and Rat Terrier mix who recently arrived at Sunshine Acres Animal Sanctuary, Inc. Ryder was surrendered by a very kind and responsible family who made the tough decision to rehome him and reached out to us for help. Ryder weighs just 24 lbs and is the total package — crate trained, housebroken, neutered, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He’s also incredibly well-socialized, with other dogs and has been settling in beautifully. We require that everyone who is interested in adopting a specific animal fill out an application for adoption. We do a Veterinary check, reference check and a home visit. We try and match certain animals with the potential adopters lifestyle. If their application is approved we do a foster to adopt process to ensure every animal adopted is never returned.
