Meet Ryder
This handsome hound is looking for his forever home. Ryder is a 6 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound weighing 90 pounds. He is very sweet, friendly and loving. As is common with a hound, he can be vocal but he's just asking for attention. He knows how to sit for a treat. He is currently on a diet so his treats are limited and walks are the focus. He loves his walks!
Ryder would be happiest in a quiet home without a lot of coming and going. A lot of activity makes him nervous at this point. He loves to go for a rides. As soon as he thinks his foster dad might be heading out, he camps out by the garage door. He doesn't want to miss out. His favorite treat on his rides is a pup cup!
Ryder is fine with other dogs. He won't be a playmate but is perfectly fine with being a roommate and hanging out them. He currently lives in a foster home with two young dogs. If you are interested and have another dog, we can set up a meet and greet to be sure they are a good fit. Ryder would also be fine with being the only dog. We cat tested Ryder and he passed. He sniffed one but really had no interest in them. We are looking for a home with a fully fenced yard with direct access from the home so Ryder can run and play safely. He loves to do zoomies in his foster yard.
Ryder has been sharing his foster dad's bed at night. He has been known to trick his foster dad into thinking he needs to go outside but he's really just interested in stealing the other side of the bed.
If this sweet boy sounds like the perfect new family member, please fill out an application so we can learn more about you and your home. If we agree it looks like a good fit, we will work with you to set up a time to meet him.
