Rusty Wallace's Story
Rusty Wallace is a 4 year old dauchshund mix.<br/><br/>Rusty is house trained, cat and dog friendly, and enjoys human companions of all ages. If in a home with children, they need to be older children that understand Rusty's needs noted below.<br/><br/>He loves car rides. He sleeps in bed with his human but will also sleep in a kennel. He loves to burrow so blankets are a must!<br/><br/>Rusty came back into rescue severally overweight. You can see that in his before and after photo in his bio. He worked hard and is now back to a healthy weight and just needs to maintain.<br/><br/>Rusty requires a home with no steps or minimal steps. He is currently in a home that has mostly single steps and where there are two steps, he has a ramp. He had to have spinal surgery so limited steps are a must. Steps are also needed for him to get on and off the couch and bed.<br/><br/>Rusty has seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy. He is taking meds three times a day to prevent them. The meds do cause him to be extremely needy. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
