Meet Rusty!<br/><br/>Rusty is a neutered Akita mix that is estimated to be around 7 years old, and currently weighs around 50lbs. <br/><br/>Rusty is loving life out of the shelter! He spent over two years "on the inside" - UNFAIR! Now he has a foster family to learn from and a warm bed to sleep on while he waits for his forever family. <br/><br/>So far, Rusty is really digging the pampered pet life. He is crate trained and also great in the house. He is learning how to play with toys (who knew squeaky things could be so fun?) ...and walks? Are you kidding me?!? The best thing EVER! Bring on ALL of the family pet experiences!<br/><br/>Rusty loves belly rubs and head scratches, kisses and bear hugs. His foster reports that he is a happy Velcro dog, following his people from room to room. <br/><br/>Although Rusty has not met any cats yet, he does great with people and other dogs. He benefits from quiet intros and a quick check to make sure everyone is on the up and up; but once he's sure the new guy (or gal) isn't a Biff or Mean Girl, he is ready to mingle!<br/> <br/>Dogs never cease to amaze us with their resiliency and natural love for people despite being let down by them in the past. Rusty is the perfect example of that.
