Rusty is an adorable hound/boxer mix, born 10/6/2025, and he’s growing into a wonderful young dog with a big heart and an even bigger personality.<br/><br/>Rusty has a gentle, observant nature and tends to take a little time to warm up to new people. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet and affectionate side shines through. He especially enjoys the familiar people in his life and shows his excitement when they come home or enter the house. He may jump when he gets excited, but he is already working on his manners and is making steady progress.<br/><br/>He is fully housetrained and has been doing very well with his routine. Rusty is also a curious youngster who enjoys “helping” with laundry and has been known to take clean clothes out of the basket—something he is working on with gentle redirection and improvement.<br/><br/>Rusty is still learning and gaining confidence as he matures, and he responds best to calm guidance, consistency, and positive reinforcement. A fenced yard with some space to play would be ideal for Rusty.<br/><br/>Rusty enjoys playtime, exploring, and having opportunities to engage his mind and body. He will do best in a home that can provide daily exercise, continued training, and structured enrichment to help him continue building confidence and good habits.
