Rusty's Story
**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you're interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet

Meet Rusty!
Rusty is a 45-pound Husky with a golden coat and an even bolder personality. She’s the golden girl who refuses to act her age; full of spunk, attitude, and charm. Rusty knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to tell you (or the other dogs). She’s the queen bee of the pack, a little bossy but endlessly lovable. If you’re looking for a confident, spirited companion who will rule your heart and your home, Rusty is ready to take the throne!

Wandering Rover Report: *note that Rusty is a female dog
He seems pretty tolerant but will communicate in dog language if he'd rather not. He walked on the sidewalk but his ears went back with loud traffic. A little break from sniffing along and he "sneezed." Pretty much just rolled his eyes and waited to continue, he was fine with changing direction with just a little oomph.
Rusty is motivated by the freedom to sniff. He is very much a dog who needs a secure fence and would be delighted by his very own dig box I'm sure. He will lead the way but stops and slows down easily. Given the time to bond with his person and get comfortable, Rusty would warm up. He didn't bark once - not at sirens or anything. He was very aware of his surroundings, continuing our walk after passing a small dog and a man alone. He is agile and confident on different surfaces. He does great getting in the car and going for car rides, he just wants to gaze outside or sleep.
