Rusty

Meet Rusty!

Rusty is a 9-month-old Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix who has already overcome more than any puppy should ever have to.

Rusty came into rescue when he was just 3 months old after someone found him. At the time, he had what appeared to be a chemical burn running the entire length of his back. We don't know what happened to him or how he was injured, but thankfully, he made it into rescue and has been given the care and love he deserved.

Rusty also suffered an eye injury. We don't know if it was related to what happened to his back, but unfortunately, his eye could not be saved and had to be removed. But losing an eye hasn't slowed this handsome boy down one bit!

Today, Rusty is a happy, healthy boy who is ready for his forever home. He has a medium activity level and enjoys going for walks, but he isn't looking for a home that never stops moving. He has great manners, gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages, and does well in a crate.

Rusty is the kind of dog who has been through a lot but hasn't let it change his sweet spirit. He deserves a family who will appreciate what a special boy he is and show him just how good life can be.

Rusty is neutered and ready to find his forever family!

9 months old
Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix
Medium activity level
Loves walks
Great with dogs of all ages
Great manners
Crate trained
Neutered
Ready for adoption!
