RUSTY is a gorgeous, happy, friendly, young (2 years or less), 11-lb. Chiweenie (dachshund-Chihuahua mix) with head-turning good looks and a sparkling, gentle personality. Rusty was locally sourced--on the elimination list at a pound right here in CT when he was sprung just in time and passed along to us--and he is neutered, vaccinated, otherwise fully-vetted and ready for a new home with some lucky someone(s). Because of his lonnnnng dachshund body, Rusty will benefit from the same careful protocols that apply to purebred dachshunds to protect their backs--avoiding back strain whenever possible by limiting jumping, stairs, etc. We can't assess Rusty's free-range housebreaking skills here in foster care, but he is perfectly crate-trained, and to meet him is to love him.
