For The Unspoken from southern Indiana with her sister, Secret, after the girls found themselves in a shelter needing a second chance. Since arriving in foster care, Rumor has proven that her disabilities don't slow her down one bit.

She is incredibly people-oriented and absolutely lives for cuddles. If you're sitting down, expect Rumor to be right beside you (or preferably in your lap!). She loves being around her humans and is happiest when she's included in whatever you're doing.

Rumor also adores other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play and snuggle with. She has been wonderful with children and truly seems to enjoy their company. Rumor is gentle, affectionate, and patient, happily soaking up attention from kids and curling up beside them for snuggles. She loves being part of the action, whether that's joining in family activities, following the kids around the yard, or settling in for a movie night on the couch. Despite being a Heeler, she does not chase or nip at children, making her an exceptional fit for a family looking for a puppy who is both playful and gentle.

One of Rumor's most impressive accomplishments? She is fully crate trained and will often put herself to bed when she's tired. She's a smart girl who thrives on routine and has adapted beautifully to the world around her.

Rumor is already spayed and is nearly ready to find her forever family. She will receive her final round of puppy vaccines during the second week of July, and after that she will officially be available for adoption.

This special girl may experience the world differently, but she doesn't let that stop her from living life to the fullest. All she wants is a family who will love her, spoil her with cuddles, and appreciate the incredible dog she is. Her foster family describes her as the total package—sweet, social, cuddly, dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and always ready to share her love.

Fostered in Allegan, Michigan
Apply to adopt Rumor at: www.speakfortheunspoken.com/adopt

***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Speak for the Unspoken's Adoption Policy
Before completing our online application please read the following: Our adoption process involves multiple steps and it typically takes up to 2 weeks from the time we receive your application to the time your adoption is finalized. We reserve the right to deny any application without explanation. All of our dogs and/or puppies are in foster homes. We do not schedule “Meet and Greets” without an approved application. Our Adoption Fees start at $325 per dog, $75 per cat or kitten. We can adopt an animal ‘out of state’, but you must be willing to travel to where the pet is being fostered, and transport the animal yourself after the adoption. If you have other animals (dogs/cats) in your home, they must be up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm testing and prevention (dogs), and spayed/neutered. We will verify this with your veterinarian. If your animals are not up to date, your application will be denied. Please make sure to fully complete your application; leaving questions blank or not including all requested information will delay your application. Once your online application is submitted, it can take our volunteers 5 to 7 business days to process it. If we have questions about your application, we will email you. Please make sure to add our email, adopt@speakfortheunspoken.com to your email so our messages do not end up in your spam folder! Once your application is approved by the processors, it is sent to the person fostering the dog you have applied for. They will make the decision on whether the animal that you applied for is the right fit for you and your home. They may also choose to initially contact you via email or phone. If you do not respond promptly to their email or phone call, they will move on to the next applicant. Your application will be saved on file for 1 year and will be used for all dogs you would be interested in that time-frame. No need to keep filling out applications! Adoption application approval means you are approved to adopt an animal from us, it does not mean you are necessarily approved for the animal you applied for. There may be specific circumstances in your home that do not make it a good fit for one animal, but it may be a fine fit for another.
