Rulu

Meet Rulu (aka the snuggle bug): This adorable approximately one year old girl was rescued from Rankin inlet and made her way to southern Ontario. She is an unknown mixed breed who has a lot of fur and only weighs about 12 pounds under all the fur! She is described by her fosters as a velcro dog who loves to spend time with her people and makes new friends quickly, usually after a bark or two. She loves sleeping under your chair while you work, so be careful with the rolling chairs! She is housetrained and will stand by the door, is still learning how to ask to go out so you do have to keep an eye on her when she goes to the door. She may have a few accidents in a new environment as she learns. <br/><br/>She is also crate trained, although somewhat reluctantly! She sleeps in her crate at night and while her foster works. You just say kennel and throw in a treat and she will usually go right in on her own. She will entertain herself with her toys and loves to snuggle at your knees. She knows sit and come (especially with a treat) and she LOVES to play outdoors and absolutely loves other dogs! She would love a yard to run around and play. She is working on leash training, as it is new to her she needs to learn some more leash manners but is treat motivated and quick to learn so this shouldn't take long. <br/><br/>Rulu has been diagnosed with a grade 2 luxating patella. Our vets have indicated that with this low grade it does not need surgery but we are still discussing the option with out vet and with each applicant. <br/><br/>If you’re looking for a playful, smart, fun dog, who loves to play with toys and loves everyone she meets then Rulu might just be your perfect match.<br/><br/>Her spay has been scheduled and will be covered by the rescue's preferred vet.
