Meet Rufus! ??<br/>If you’re looking for a dog who can keep up with you outside and then happily claim a spot on the couch afterward, Rufus might be your guy! ??<br/>Rufus is a 5-year-old Hound mix who found himself at the shelter after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Through no fault of his own, this sweet boy is looking for a new family who will give him the love, attention, and time he deserves.<br/>Rufus is your classic Hound at heart—he would absolutely love a home with room to stretch his legs, sniff around, and enjoy some good old-fashioned running and exploring. But once he’s gotten his adventure out of his system, Rufus is more than happy to come inside and settle in next to his favorite person for some quality couch time. ?????<br/>He does well with other dogs, so he may enjoy having a canine companion to share his adventures with! He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, so we’re not sure how he feels about feline roommates. If needed, we can test him with cats before adoption.<br/>We’re not completely sure if Rufus is housebroken yet, but he is a smart boy who is eager to learn, so we think he’ll catch on quickly with a consistent routine and a little patience.<br/>Rufus is ready for a family who understands that the best dogs are the ones who can be both your adventure buddy AND your professional couch warmer.
