He still carries fragments of the bullet in his leg, but it doesn’t bother him one bit! While loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms can be tough for him, he knows he can always count on his person for comfort (and a little medication if needed).<br/><br/>Rufus was adopted in December 2018 when he was just 2 years old, and now he’s about to turn 8! His personality is one of a kind—intelligent, vocal, and a bit jealous when it comes to attention. His growls are just his way of chatting away, letting you know exactly what he wants, whether it’s food, a walk, or simply some love. <br/><br/>He’s great with other dogs, loves to play, and has a snore that could rival a grizzly bear! Despite his past, he’s fully potty and kennel trained, even holding it for hours during fireworks. His love for walks is unmatched—he’ll even put his own harness on!<br/><br/>Rufus has a unique grooming routine; his hair grows slowly, and he has had all sorts of hairstyles over the years! And while he’s not a fan of trimming his dew claws, he feels much better afterward.
