Rufus

My name is Rufus and I am around 4 years old. I am the longest resident dog here at the shelter.. So, I feel like that makes me the big man on campus here. So a little bit about me. I think I am misunderstood. I can be a little intimidating but I am working on that because that is not who I am at all. I am a very smart boy.. Like valedictorian of my class kind of smart. I know sit, paw, lay down, roll over, stay. I can stay in my stay position until told I can move. I have discovered I love belly rubs and I love being brushed. I am working on leash training. I was never a fan of leashes I wanted to be free. But I'm learning they aren't so bad because if I wear the leash I can go out on walks. If your interested in me please come in and look for me I will be the guy in the play area playing with my toys.<br/><br/>Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. <br/><br/>The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided.<br/><br/>Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.
