Ruby Roo is a beautiful 7 year old, 85 lb Rottweiler who is looking for her final forever family! She is potty trained, doesn’t need to be crated in her foster home, respects a baby gate and is perfectly happy hanging out with her people. She still has plenty of spunk and loves her toys, but she doesn’t need a ton of exercise or constant activity. She’ll very happily go for a walk whenever you’re ready, though, so don’t let her age fool you.<br/><br/>Ruby is the kind of dog who takes her time getting comfortable with new people, so a little patience and understanding is best for her. Once she knows you, she is incredibly loyal and will be your BFF for life. One of the best ways to win her over is with a good walk and some time together. She is a strong girl, so her person needs to be comfortable handling a large breed. She’s treat motivated, so that’s a plus!<br/><br/>Ruby can live with other dogs with a long, proper introduction, but she would absolutely love being your one and only. She also has some things that make her a better fit for a certain home. She can be reactive to delivery vans and large trucks, especially while walking, and she prefers that her food and bones are left alone while she enjoys them. She is also a pretty great home security system and will let you know when she thinks something fishy is going on.<br/><br/>Ruby isn’t looking for a busy household or a million people coming and going. She’s looking for her person. Someone who will give her a little time, respect her boundaries and appreciate what a loyal, funny, loving companion she can be. Work long hours? No problem. Ruby is a simple girl.<br/><br/>Ruby Roo is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to meet you! She will come with 2 months of dog food, treats, bowls, leash, collar, toys, a muzzle, and free professional training to help the transition. This is a courtesy post. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
