Ruby-I26005's Story

Meet Ruby, our petite and lovely senior lady!

Ruby is almost 13 years old and weighs just 22.6 pounds—small even for a corgi, but she more than makes up for it with her sweet personality. Her DOB is 05.11.13 and her adoption fee is $350.00 plus MN state sales tax. She is spay and UTD on all vaccinations along with a microchip.

If you are serious about this dog, please go to our website and fill out an application: https://faerielandrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
We do not adopt our dogs to folks who live in apartments

Per her foster: Ruby is truly one of the gentlest dogs you could meet. She is calm and affectionate, gets along wonderfully with our other dog, and is happiest curled up under my desk at home, quietly snoozing (and snoring!). She enjoys walks and loves attention, and when her leash comes out, she lights up and hops around like a puppy.

She has been great with people and is settling in beautifully. Ruby has done well with older kids, handled a visit to my pottery studio like a champ, and even coexisted peacefully with a temporary feline houseguest—after a few curious sniffs, she politely kept her distance. Because of her calm, easygoing nature, Ruby would likely thrive in a quieter, more relaxed household. Possibly with folks who are home more and children that are 16 or older.

Ruby recently had dental work and now has just three teeth left, but don’t let that worry you—her appetite is still excellent! She happily eats wet food and softened kibble without any issues. She also has a cherry eye, which her veterinarian has confirmed is asymptomatic and does not require treatment at this time.

If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion with a heart of gold, Ruby may be the perfect match. 🐾💛

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.
We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our rescue dogs to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system. We do not adopt our dogs to folks who plan to have the dogs living outside 24/7 or the majority of time or living in a kennel type environment

FaerieLand Rescue's Adoption Policy
FaerieLand process is the following: You can view our pets on Petfinder or the website. We require an application with a paid $25.00 application processing fee, with 2 personal & 1 vet reference along with a home visit prior to doing an adoption. Most of our dogs do better in a fenced area vs running loose. We match our rescues with current families according to current family members (IE: adults, children, teens), current pets(IE other dogs, other animals) and location, experience, level of activity, personality of the dog, temperament of the dog and want each dog to find their Furever home. Applying for a dog does not entitle you to adopt one of our dogs. German Shepherds & Welsh Corgis are herding dogs and need a job. They are not good dogs for apartments or small spaces. They require exercise every day. They require training and socialization to become a well rounded family member.
