Weight: ~25 lbs<br/><br/>Ruby is a gentle soul with a heart full of love and a spirit that’s stronger than you might expect. This 10-year-old Corgi/Basset mix came to us as part of a cruelty case through Pasco County Animal Services, where she and 7 other dogs had been severely neglected. Despite everything she’s been through, Ruby remains a very sweet, easy-going girl.<br/><br/>She walks beautifully on a leash. She truly enjoys a peaceful stroll and absolutely adores a cozy dog bed to snuggle into. Ruby is crate-trained and does wonderfully with people, greeting everyone she meets with soft eyes and a calm demeanor. She gets along with some other calm, polite dogs but can be a bit selective—she’d do best in a quiet home where she can feel safe and loved.<br/><br/>Due to her past, Ruby has a skin condition and is currently receiving medicated baths to help her heal. Some of her fur is already starting to grow back. She also receives daily eye drops. Though she may look a little rough on the outside, her true beauty shines from within. She is a gentle, resilient senior who has so much love left to give.<br/><br/>Ruby has been patiently waiting in our noisy shelter for over three weeks.
