Hi! My name is Ruby and I hope, I hope, I really hope another dog is waiting for me in my forever home. I love to play with squeaky toys and play with my canine roomie, Buffy. My foster mom says my cutest traits are when I bounce around the backyard like a little bunny and the little howls I occasionally make. I tend to mimic what other dogs do, so if they like to play rough, I’m down. If they prefer dainty play, I can do that too. I’m a follower and not a leader of the dog world, but not every girl needs to be alpha. I’m a bit on the shy side so things like loud thunder or new people make me a tad bit scared. When that happens I put myself in my kennel and retreat to my safe space. However, a handful of treats and a sweet human will always make me brave enough to conquer my fears. If your home has at least one other dog friend, and you can picture this little bunny bouncing around your backyard, send in your adoption application right away.

In order to qualify for ALIVE Rescue Memphis's program all of the following steps must be met:

•You must be at least 21 years of age and be able to provide ALIVE with proof of age.

•Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided.

•If you currently rent, you must provide a landlord’s phone number and a copy of your executed lease.

•All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed.

•Applicant must live within 50 miles of Memphis if interested in adopting and within 30 miles of Memphis if interested in fostering.

•Allow an ALIVE Rescue Memphis representative into your home for a visit to insure that your home is safe for the potential new pet.

•You must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for a pet.

•Currently, adoptions fees in Memphis are $275 for a dog over 4 months of age, $300 for a dog under 4 months of age.

•We require an additional $75 training deposit at the time of adoption. You will be required to enroll and complete a training class with your new companion at one of our approved training facilities. Once ALIVE Rescue Memphis receives proof of the completed class, this $75 deposit will be refunded.
