She’s incredibly smart and really blossoms with gentle verbal praise, often “checking in” with her person in new situations as if to say, “Am I doing okay?” A little reassurance goes a long way in helping her feel confident as she adjusts.<br/><br/>She’s formed a special bond with me her foster mom, though she may naturally choose one primary person—or even grow close to another dog companion. With slow, thoughtful introductions, she does wonderfully with other respectful neighborhood dogs and truly seems to enjoy their company.<br/><br/>Ruby thrives on routine. She has a moderate activity level—she enjoys a short morning walk to sniff her favorite spots and take care of business, followed by a longer, more leisurely evening stroll, often alongside a neighbor dog she seems especially fond of.<br/><br/>She’s a light eater, but she’s doing just fine overall. Occasionally, adding a little scrambled egg to her food helps tempt her appetite—sometimes that’s all she needs.<br/><br/>She also loves little adventures.
