Ruby's Story

Hi! My name is Ruby and I am looking for a forever home. I was surrendered to a scary place called a shelter along with another dog 'cause after our owner was told he needed to get us fixed, he said he didn't have the money to do so just as soon as give us up. My friend got adopted and I was all alone, and then I heard I was going to be placed on something bad called "the list". Fortunately, a small local rescue pulled me and contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes! I appear to be possibly a small aussie mix at just a little under 35lbs ... a perfect size! And the vet felt I was about a year old so I shouldn't get much bigger and I'm past all of that puppy foolishness. My foster mom says she can't believe anyone gave me up or I didn't get adopted as I'm such a pretty girl and once I learned I could trust her and my foster dad, I showed how much I just love getting attention, and I'm also really super smart. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and haven't bothered those things called cats I've encountered. I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding, and while I would much prefer to be out with you I will go in when asked. I'm also pretty good on a leash with just a little pulling when I first get out as I'm so excited to be going on an adventure with you. If you would like to learn more about me or would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
