Ruby's Story

Ruby is a 5 year old mixed breed 35 lb dog. She is sweet but very shy. She needs patience and a family or person who will be patient with her
She would do best in a quiet home. She is very scared of life. She prefers her crate until she feels safe. About 5 days she relaxed a bit, 10 days even better.
She sees a leash and comes right out, she knows its time to go outside and do her business, then... She wants back in. Weve been working with her. If someone has the patience and would like to give Ruby a safe and loving forever home that would be great. I think a quiet child free home would be best. Also calm dogs that wont bother her or no dogs at all would be fine.
We have seen huge improvements with Ruby. Its so rewarding seeing her feel more confident. Shes cuddling on the couch. She is worth it. And we will be a bit extra particular with who adopts her.
Ruby did get adopted to a loving home, but the busy apartment complex seemed too much for her nervous system.
She needs a quiet home and neighborhood.
She is very sweet, but Id recommend older children. She is not the kind of dog to lay on, over pet or grab. We pet her when she is ok with it. You must watch her body language and confirm she is happy with pets. She does not bite. But I wouldnt ever want her to feel she needs to.
