Rua's Story

Rua is a 5.5 year old tuxedo girl who loves to cuddle and play with her toys. She will instantly make herself comfortable on anything soft, will be glued to your side as you move around the house, and will cuddle as close to you as she can! She has a few favorite toys that she likes to bring around the house with her and loves squeaky toys that bounce. She sleeps in her crate with door open at night, and freely roams the house (although mostly just taking naps) during the day. She is very curious about her environment and is constantly poking her nose in anything she can. She does not seem to be cat workable. Greyhound Options Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Because we are a small, volunteer-run group, we ask that you do not email us to inquire about specific dogs. Instead, please visit www.greyhoundoptions.org to fill out an application, which is the first step in our adoption process. Adopters must fill out an application (available on our website or by mail) and have a home visit before being approved for adoption. Minimum adoption donation is currently $450 (for U.S. dogs) and $700 (for Irish dogs), and an adoption agreement must be completed. All of our greyhounds are spayed/neutered, vet-checked, heartworm tested, have had a dental cleaning and are current on recommended vaccinations. We require all dogs to be kept indoors and leash-walked or let out in fenced areas only. If an adopter can no longer care for his/her greyhound, it must be returned to the care of Greyhound Options, Inc.
