Roxy Chihuahua & Feist Mix Matthews, NC

Update: Roxie is the last of the hoarding case chihuahuas we rescued a couple months ago. She was experiencing some seizures during the weaning process after she had six puppies. Her bloodwork came back excellent and we’ve now had her spayed and she’s healed and ready for adoption. She is on pnenabarbitol as a precaution and has not experienced any seizure activity in over a month. She might not need to be on it long term. So many factors could have contributed to the seizures from her environment and health when rescued. She is really a love bug. But very scared with strangers so her best home would be one person she can attach to. She is good with dogs or cats but doesn’t really engage with either. She is housebroken crate and leash trained now but a secure higher than 4ft fence is ideal as she can jump high. She’s quiet unless startled by strangers so she’d be a good watch dog for a single woman. She’s a snuggler so will sit in your lap for hours if you let her.
