Roxie's Story

Roxie is proof that the best things come in small, fluffy packages. This 16 pound miniature poodle was born on 3/27/21 and is fully vetted and ready to find her true forever family!

Roxie was born with a birth defect in her back left paw and only has one toe on that foot, but don’t tell her that she’s any different. It causes her absolutely no pain or limitations and honestly just adds to her charm! She runs, plays, chases balls with her dog friends, and keeps up just fine.

She’s dog friendly and has really blossomed with decompression time in foster care. Roxie enjoys playing with other dogs and especially loves chasing after toys with her foster siblings. She can occasionally resource guard her person’s attention if another dog interrupts cuddle time, but her foster has been working with her and she’s already making great progress. Like any dog responds well to boundaries and structure.

Roxie absolutely adores people and has never met a stranger. She wants to be close to her humans as much as possible and fully believes she deserves to be spoiled around the clock. She does not love being kenneled when she can see you, and she can be vocal when she’s ready to come out, but settles much better when she has quiet space and has learned to happily go into her kennel for treats. She is also house trained with no accidents in the home or kennel.

This girl LOVES food, enjoys playing, and has a fun little personality that keeps everyone smiling. She would do best with an adopter who understands poodles require lifelong regular grooming and is committed to keeping her coat maintained.

If you’re looking for a small dog with a big personality, lots of love to give, and a little extra character, Roxie may be your perfect match!
