ROXIE's Story

Roxie first came to BCAS on 12/18/2019. The person claimed Roxie was a stray in an advance stage of pregnancy. On 12/29/2019, Roxie delivered 8 puppies. After Roxie lovingly raised her puppies in a foster home, she was made available for adoption by BCAS. Roxie was adopted on 2/24/2020. Roxie was left home alone for 3 months, with friends and neighbors stopping by to feed and let her outside, before she was owner relinquished to BCAS on 6/10/2026. Unfortunately, her owner needed assisted living care and was unable to take Roxie. Roxie was in a loving home for over 6 years. Roxie was the only pet in the household. She has quickly settled into our routine at BCAS with scheduled feedings and multiple playtimes during the day. Roxie appears to be housebroken. Roxie is a very active and loving Senior Pitbull Mix. She is estimated to be over 8 years old and weighs 50 pounds. Roxie was updated on her vaccines with Distemper combination & Rabies vaccine, Heartworm 4-DX tested, and had CBC/CHEM blood work (all normal) on 6/10/2026. Roxie is a very sweet dog, offering stubby tail wags and kisses. She will need a quiet, loving, forever family to live out her golden years. We schedule Meet & Greets by appointment only. Please submit an adoption application for our review. Here's the link: https://cms8.revize.com/revize/booneil/Departments/Animal%20Services/ADOPTION%20APPLICATION.pdf
