Meet Roxanne!

If you are looking for a beautiful dog to join your family look no further as Roxanne could be yours. She is just over a year and weighs 58 lbs. She is listed as a Collie/Lab mix but that is just a guess. She has the softest sleek black coat. With regular brushing it shines and the hint of golden brown is highlighted. She was listed as a public drop off in Florence Alabama and got her Golden ticket to Wisconsin, arriving 1/20/24. We thought Roxanne would be adopted as soon as she arrived with the beautiful looks. Roxanne has been with us now for one month now and is still waiting for her perfect forever family. She is in a home with 7 other dogs and gets along well with all. She is housetrained and crate trained, preferrs just being gated in her room with her friend Ace when we are not home. We do use a 4 foot gate.She will jump the 3 foot gates to be where her people and other doggie playmates are. She knows basic commands; sit, shake a paw, and lay down so she must have been in a home at some time. We are working on recall as she can be a little stubborn about coming when called. We have found that she may need slow introductions to other dogs when on a leash as she can get nervous and become reactive, which we are working on. She would do best in a forever home with at least one or two doggie siblings that enjoy her play style, and a fenced yard where she can run, play and soak up the sun. She has been wonderful meeting people including children. She has not met any cats but would definitely be curious as she is very alert to everything on her daily walks.
Roxanne is available through Ma, Paw, Me, Pet Rescue, Inc based out of Watertown, Wi. She is microchipped, spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and monthly flea and tick, and heartworm preventatives. Her adoption fee is $325. Our process is as follows:
1. Review our policies and adoption radius on our website: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/
2. Submit an application for review and approval;
3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;
4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);
5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).

Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
- Spay/Neuter surgery
- Age appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
