MEET ROWDY:<br/>Meet me and some of my other foster friends this Saturday, May 30 from 11am – 2pm at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre! We would love to help you find your newest family member. To help make the adoption process smoother, please complete an adoption application online ahead of time to become pre-approved. All members of the household — including any current dogs — must be present at the event so we can complete introductions and help verify compatibility. Please note that we do not hold dogs, and many potential adopters will be attending the event. We hope to see you there!<br/><br/>True to his name, Rowdy is a goofy, lovable 2-year-old English Bulldog weighing approximately 48 pounds who is guaranteed to keep you laughing with his silly personality and classic bulldog antics. Found as a stray and sadly never reclaimed, this handsome boy is now searching for a family that will cherish him for the incredible dog he is.<br/><br/>Rowdy has truly never met a stranger. He instantly assumes everyone is his new best friend and greets people with enthusiasm, charm, and his wonderfully goofy bulldog personality. He is an active and energetic boy who loves attention, playtime, and being involved in whatever his people are doing. Whether he is bouncing around the yard, going for walks, or clowning around for attention, Rowdy lives life with joy and excitement.<br/><br/>Because of his breed, Rowdy is seeking a family with prior brachycephalic breed experience or a strong understanding of the special care Bulldogs require. Like many flat-faced breeds, he can be sensitive to extreme heat and cold and will need a family committed to keeping him safe and comfortable during Michigan's changing seasons.<br/><br/>Rowdy would do best in a home with a secure physical fenced yard where he can safely burn off energy and play. He is not a good fit for an invisible fence or tether system. When he gets excited, he can become jumpy and a little mouthy in typical bulldog fashion, so he would do best with older, dog-savvy children who can appropriately handle his enthusiasm and size.<br/><br/>He has done well with other dogs that are tolerant of his rough-and-tumble bulldog play style and over-the-top personality. Rowdy has only recently been introduced to a cat and honestly seems a bit unsure what to think, so any feline introductions should be done slowly and appropriately.<br/><br/>Despite his goofy and energetic nature, Rowdy has demonstrated a good understanding of house manners and is crate trained. He is looking for a family that will embrace all of the lovable quirks that come along with owning a bulldog — the snoring, the slobber, the goofy noises, the stubborn moments, and the endless entertainment.<br/><br/>If you are searching for a loyal, hilarious, affectionate companion with a huge personality and an even bigger heart, Rowdy may just be your perfect match. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
