Rowdy's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Rowdy is the kind of dog who makes himself right at home wherever he goes. He’s incredibly affectionate, has excellent house manners, and truly loves being part of his people’s day. Handling is no problem for this guy—paw wipes, ear cleanings, and all the gentle care that comes with being a loved family dog are totally his thing. And don’t worry, he’s always happy to return the favor with plenty of snuggles.

Rowdy enjoys getting out and about for walks and strolls nicely on leash, but once he’s had his exercise, he’s more than content to settle in for a long couch hang with his family. He’s doing great with the other dogs in his foster home and has been friendly with dogs he’s met on walks. When his people head out, Rowdy is perfectly fine staying home on his own—no crate needed.

This food‑loving boy is treat‑motivated and eager to learn, making him a great candidate for fun training sessions and new tricks. He also takes his backyard patrol duties seriously and will happily chase off any squirrels that dare to visit. However, Rowdy has made it clear that cats are not his cup of tea, so a cat‑free home is a must.

Rowdy’s ideal home would be one where he can enjoy daily walks, some playtime, and lots of quality couch time with his humans. Because of his size and strength, we recommend a home without very small children or tiny pets.

Apply to adopt this amazing guy at 4theloveofdog.org
Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html
