Hello world! I’m Rowan. A one-year-old male Catahoula mix. I weigh 65 pounds. I’m a very beautiful brindle boy! I came from a rural property in Oklahoma where I roamed with my dog family and didn't spend a ton of time interacting with people. I’ve made so much progress in becoming more comfortable in a home with humans through my canine brothers and sister. They’ve shown me domesticated dog life is waaaay better than being an outside dog. I love to frolic and then snuggle with my dog pals and enjoy following my foster mom around for pets. I’ve even learned I love cuddling in bed with my foster humans! I’ve also been taking meds to calm my scared mind. Don’t worry though! They’re only thirty cents a day. I used to hide in my crate when human visitors came but now I’m so brave and will come out to see who is over. I’m just a gentle, mellow guy looking for my people. I’m good with dogs, cats, and quieter children. I will need a patient forever family who can look past my initial timidness to see my immense potential. It will be so rewarding for you.

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in Milwaukee. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$350+tax for ages 4-7
$250+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
