Rosie's Story

MISSISSAUGA, ON - Thank you for your interest in Rosie. Her story starts with a phone call. A mini poodle was in crisis at a vet in Burlington, Ontario — she had swallowed dental floss and other items from a bathroom garbage and needed emergency surgery. SPIN typically works with standard poodles, but another rescue was full, and SPIN said yes without hesitation. Because that is what SPIN does.

What followed was a long and difficult road to recovery — two surgeries during which a portion of her intestine had to be removed, several days in hospital, and a lot of worry before Rosie finally turned a corner. By mid-May she was eating eagerly, doing happy little poodle prances out to the yard, and charming everyone around her. She had made it. Now she is in her foster home in Mississauga, and her foster family has had the opportunity of getting to know who Rosie really is.
