Meet Rosie

My journey with Rescue One has been a rollercoaster, but I'm on the mend and ready to share my story. I'm Rosie, an American Pit Bull Terrier, 44 pounds of love, and I just turned two. Life threw me a curveball when I got hit by a car, but thanks to the amazing folks at Rescue One Clinic, I'm on the road to recovery after having a leg amputation. Being a perfect patient is my forte. I might have had a rough start, but I'm resilient, and the healing process is going well. I'm housebroken and crate trained although I do fine in the home without being crated. I'm pretty vocal, so an apartment wouldn't be a good fit for me. I'm quite laid back and calm, mastering the command for "sit" like a pro. I get along well with dogs and cats, but I think since I am a bit shy and scared, I may not be the best fit with little ones. I've got the biggest brown eyes and the sweetest face. I guess that's why everyone around here has fallen for me so quickly. One of my favorite activities is to go on car rides! I also love my humans and love to be close to them! I may have had a rough start, but with the right person or family, I'm ready to fill their lives with loyalty, love, and a few snuggles here and there.

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.

We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app here. To foster dogs: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/ROS/Dog
