Meet Rosie
In November 2022, sweet beautiful Rosie wandered up to a plastic surgery clinic all alone in Clear Lake City (Southeast Houston). One of the workers follows our rescue and contacted us for help. Rosie was obviously malnourished, seemed sight impaired and looked like she had been out in the streets for a while so we said YES.Â
While we looked for her family, she was taken straight to the Veterinarian to stay overnight in case she needed a blood transfusion. Luckily she did well overnight but her bloodwork showed that her kidneys needed some help. She's been on medication and special food for her kidneys and her condition improved quickly. She is also likely only able to see shadows but that does not slow her down AT ALL. We were able to located her Dad who surrendered her to us so we've been working on getting her healthier and ready for a furever family who deserves her!
This girl is amazing! She absolutely loves to go on walks and walks very well on a leash. She will be your shadow around the house. Her foster mom says she is practically perfect in every way!
When Rosie smells/sees other people, she has to go say Hi. She will pull you to each new person so that she can get hugs and pets. She will put her head in your lap so that you can mush her face. She just wants to lay on a bed next to you. When she gets really excited (treats, people, car rides, anything new!) her whole body wiggles like she's a puppy again.
Rosie would do well in a low energy home where she can go for walks and plop on the couch and watch TV with you. She loves to roam around and follow her nose so if you have a backyard that needs some sniffin' then Rosie might be your girl!
