Rosie's Story

Meet Rosie, a 1-year-old Dachshund/Beagle/Chihuahua mix (at least that’s what we were told!) with a personality just as adorable as her look. Weighing around 24 pounds, she’s about the size of a Beagle with a slightly longer body—and one ear that stands straight up, which might just be the only hint of Chihuahua in her!

Rosie came to the shelter from the same situation as her brother, Rocky, after living out in the country where safety near the road became a concern. Now she’s ready for a fresh start in a home where she can feel secure and loved.

She is a friendly, sweet girl who gets along well with other dogs. We believe she would do well with kids, especially if they approach her calmly and give her a little time to settle in. Rosie keeps her kennel clean, which is a great sign that she’ll likely do well with potty training in a home environment.

She’s currently learning leash skills and making progress each day. With a little patience and consistency, she’ll continue to improve.

Rosie is spayed, current on vaccines, and ready to find her forever family. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a unique look and a gentle nature, Rosie might be the perfect match!
