Rosie's Story

What Lucy Needs:

Family home with kids! Cats and dog ok too.

Her Story

Believe it or not.......this precious little girl was found as a stray in a small town in California by a good samaritan.

Looking for an all around, easy small dog? Look no further! Rosie, a Shih Tzu X Chi, checks so many boxes:

1) Suitable for first time dog owners: housebroken, basically trained.
2) Fostered with a dog, cat and kids.
3) Loves dogs AND cats (although the cats don't always love her, but she's respectful.) She will play with the right fit of dog, but loves to greet every dog on the street.
4) Loves kids and all people, big and small. Champion snuggler in your kids bed.
5) Tiny but athletic! She can easily manage long walks/hike, but is chill in the house. Don't let her lap dog appearance fool you, but she loves laps too ;)
6) Condo? Check! She doesn't bark when left alone.
7) Office or shop dog? She visited the hospital office and was an instant hit!
8) Would do well with another dog at home, and plays with her humans like they're a dog too (more on that later.) BUT also happy on her own if she got to go for walks out and about with dog friends. She likes to play one on one, but didn't get into the dog park and wanted to police the larger dogs rough housing (channel her inner Chihuahua!)

As perfect as she is, Rosie has a few little things to be aware of. She likes to mouth ONLY when initially greeting people in your house or inciting play. We're talking 9 1/2 lbs of mouthing for a minute so it's not much. Toes, hands and ankles are fair game when you're a shortie dog lol! You can easily stop it as she's mindful when you tell her "no." She doesn't play with toys with people (no fetch or tug- plays more like a cat) and loves chew sticks. If you can manage that, you've got yourself a literally perfect little dog :)

Adoption Details
Rosie is spayed and ready to find her forever family. Her ideal home would be a ?family of her own...kids to play with and adventures to go on...the cabin at the lake, camping with friends or kids soccer matches to watch.

Could Rosie be your perfect family's match? Fill out an adoption application and let her know her fun family forever is waiting.

Adoption Package Includes:

Free month of Trupanion insurance upon adoption completion
Spay including bloodwork
Vaccines (DA2PP & Rabies)
Microchip
Deworming
Sleepover period up to 2 weeks (or longer to ensure a good match!)

Rosie's adoption fee is $ 800.00 + pst.
