Rosemary's Story
Rosemary A187147
55 lb. spayed female, approx 10 months old

Total puppy!
-This little girl is full of happy puppy energy and absolutely loves being in your lap for pets and attention. She's very food motivated, sits nicely for treats, and takes them gently. In fact, when asked to "sit," she sometimes gets so excited that she goes straight into a little lay-down instead!

-She wasn't quite sure what to think about toys at first, but once I started play-bowing at her, she caught on quickly. That sparked some adorable little zoomies, and before long we were playing with toys too! She started figuring out what to do with them and had a blast flipping them all over the place.

-She walks pretty nicely with minimal pulling and has a great start on her manners. She's definitely still learning the basics and has plenty of puppy antics to work through, but she has a wonderful foundation to build on.

-She's playful, affectionate, food motivated, and eager to interact--just a happy little puppy who is ready to learn, grow, and have fun with her new person! 💗

-Will need some puppy training. Please keep that in mind if you want a puppy. They require time and patience to be the best that they can be!

-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids

*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt

*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**

*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30

**We ask that if you're looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog.

**1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
