He is very outgoing and thrives on attention, always ready to greet anyone willing to give him some love. Rooster walks well on a leash and enjoys spending time with his people.<br/>He has not done well keeping his kennel clean, so he may need some continued work with potty training in his new home. So far, he has not seemed to mind the other dogs around him and may be dog friendly, though a meet and greet is recommended to ensure everyone gets along. Rooster is looking for a patient and loving home that will appreciate his social, chatty nature.<br/>Rooster is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
