Rooney's Story
Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.<br/><br/>We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application.<br/><br/>Our ADOPTION application is found at www.seniorhearts.org/how-to-adopt<br/><br/>Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. She is an active, healthy dog.<br/><br/>Rooney is shy when going new places and meeting new people. But once she gets to know you, this little lady is loyal. She promises to follow you wherever you go, and stare you down until you give her pets. <br/><br/>Rooney is an active rat terrier. She loves and needs long walks. She also enjoys the opportunity to be outside and sniff things whether you have a fenced yard or you allow her to stop and hunt the crittters on your walks. <br/><br/>Rooney enjoys the companionship of other small dogs. She actually requires another small dog to be in her adoptive home. Rooney would thrive with calm dog sibling(s).<br/><br/>Rooney is in good health. She recently lost some excess weight and had a dental surgery. Rooney is up to date on vaccinations and current on flea, tick, <br/><br/>Rooney needs to live in an adult/only home. She prefers to live in a calm home environment. <br/><br/>If you are looking for a healthy, active, loving, and loyal little dog, Rooney is your girl. <br/><br/>Rooney can be adopted into a home within a two-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA.
